You Survived Google’s Mobile Update?

You may be feeling pretty good that not much has changed with the organic traffic to your website over the last several days.  Since Google’s rollout on April 20th, only a small portion of sites have seen a large change in their mobile rankings.  This is a good thing, but we want to make you aware that the big rollout is still coming.  Google is rolling this out slowly, and many believe it is being done to give everyone a chance to update to a mobile friendly site.  This is easily the biggest algorithm update in the history of Google, and the damage that this will cause to sites not ready for mobile will be long lasting.  Just because you weathered the storm, does not mean you made it through.

The best example of this?   Glad you asked.   The keyword planner on Google just became Mobile Friendly a few days ago.  The tool used most often by SEO’s all over the planet just received the mobile friendly tag next to it over the last week or so.   Maybe the reason the rollout isn’t complete is because Google is still trying to get all of their own sites organized.

If you have read any of our blogs from the past, I apologize for the repetition, but I have to make sure you are aware.  Google is going to reward sites that are mobile friendly by having only those search results show up on mobile devices.  If you are not mobile friendly, you will not show up in the search results on a iPad, Droid, iPhone, or any other tablet.  Mobile traffic makes up about 60% of all traffic to your website, so it is important that you get this resolved quickly.

You will see below our video which is ranked #1, that the Hit Me SEO website has the little mobile-friendly tag next to our name.  You will also see that our other sites  (yes, that is us ranked #2, #3, and #4 for best SEO in Maryland) also have the mobile friendly tag.

If you waited until the last minute to update to a mobile friendly site, don’t wait any longer.  Hit Me SEO can help you fix this mobile-friendly problem before it gets out of hand.   Also, if you are interested in having your website “blanket” the front page of Google’s search results, give us a call and we will let you know how we do it……sort of:-)
